A medical professional with expertise in primary care and aged care services is required to join our mobile vaccination team.
Key Responsibilities:
* To perform duties as a consulting and supervising medical practitioner during vaccination clinics.
* To provide medical advice, clinical oversight, and governance to vaccine recipients.
* To collaborate with nurse immunisers and facility staff to safely administer vaccines.
* To consult with residents on vaccine appropriateness, ensuring they understand potential risks and side effects, especially considering residents may have chronic illnesses.
* To report adverse effects following immunization (AEFI) and incidents to the appropriate channels.
* To accurately record patient data, including Medicare details and vaccination records, in the system.
The successful candidate must be registered with AHPRA and hold a fellowship of either FRACGP or FACRRM. Experience in aged care or primary healthcare, particularly in mobile vaccine clinics, is also desirable. Additionally, the candidate must have no restrictions to work in Australia, possess professional indemnity insurance, demonstrate a positive attitude and ability to collaborate with other medical professionals, and have intermediate computer skills.
