Our industry leading Banking & Finance team in Sydney operates within the broader Corporate & Capital Markets line of business. The finance practice is widely recognised for its technical and commercial expertise and its ability to deliver practical, innovative solutions. Our specialists advise on a full range of corporate, real estate, project and structured finance transactions for national and multinational corporations, banks, investment banks and other financial institutions.
Your Role
We are looking for a Lawyer or Associate to join the structured finance team. You will work on a broad range of structured finance matters spanning derivatives, securitisation, warehouse financing, receivables financing, covered bonds, structured lending and other asset‐backed transactions, both cross‐border and domestic. The practice includes complex capital markets debt transactions such as large securitisation programmes, structured fund finance, non‐bank lending transactions and bespoke structured solutions (including senior debt, mezzanine, unitranche and hybrid instruments). You will enjoy a fascinating variety of legal work as part of a collaborative national team.
More About You
* 2–4 years' post‐qualification experience in structured finance, securitisation or capital markets, gained within a reputable commercial law firm or professional services firm
* Solid technical drafting and communication skills with a desire to continue developing
* A willingness to take ownership of tasks and work streams with appropriate supervision
* A client‐focused mindset, a responsive manner and a demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with peers and clients
* A team player attitude, a collaborative method and collegial style, with enthusiasm for learning and contributing to the team's growth
