**The Company**
Woodville Alliance is a medium sized, community-based agency with major programs in disability, mental health, family and youth support, community development and early childhood education and care. The head office is based in Fairfield and we work across surrounding local government areas. Communities in this area are ethnically diverse, have low income levels and high levels of disadvantage.
**The Role and Initial Priorities**
Our new CEO will have a strong appreciation of social justice. They will grow and diversify our Service offering to meet the diverse needs of our multicultural community and build trusting relationships with community leaders and the business community within our service area.
This would include, but not be exclusive to, increasing our capacity to support the mental health of our families, children and community members. Successful programs to support children with mental health challenges to stay at school have been recognised and further funded.
Our focus on our clients is only possible if the CEO builds the capacity of the Executive team and ensures a strong relationship with the Board. A priority during the first year will be to ensure that there is a culture of trust driven by our shared values that focuses on our clients and community.
**Essential Qualities and Skills**
- A strategic senior leader with experience in providing inspirational leadership within the health/ community/ Not for Profit sector with exemplary strategic, financial, operational and people management skills
- Demonstrated ability to facilitate strong working relationships between the CEO, Executive and Board of Directors.
- Strength in developing and maintaining collaborative partnerships and stakeholder relationships
- Demonstrated experience in leading change and building organisational capacity to ensure sustainable services
- Extensive experience in managing a diverse portfolio of services, programs and projects within a values driven organisation leading co design and service improvement
- An understanding of the political environment and current issues affecting the NDIS system and the community sector in particular
- Strong ability to analyse data and information, identify risk, opportunities and issues for Woodville Alliance, with an ability to respond accordingly to address these, to achieve its goals and objectives
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with ability to influence at the highest level. Confident public speaking and presentation style.
- Financial and business skills and acumen with extensive experience in the preparation of budgets, business plans and funding submissions
