Start your journey into education today.If you think you have the engineering skills but not the teaching experience, then let us support you to gain the necessary teaching qualifications while sharing your knowledge and experience.We currently have a vacancy for a lecturer in Advanced Engineering to work within our 'state-of-the-art' engineering facility where our students can learn in both classroom and workshop environments. Displaying energy and enthusiasm in the learning environment, you will perform scheduled teaching, prepare learning materials, mark students' work, liaise with awarding bodies, conduct exam invigilation as required, and provide educational guidance, support, and counselling for all students. You will be a dedicated team player who can establish effective working relationships and liaise with tutors from other areas regarding resources, curriculum development, student reports, and other related matters. You will also complete and produce documentation such as registers, schemes of work, records of work, course reviews, course analysis documentation, and student reports.We are looking for an individual qualified to a minimum of Level 5 in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, with knowledge and skills to teach core units and specialist engineering units from level 3 to level 5, including mechanical and/or electrical principles, engineering mathematics, and engineering science. You will be able to share your skills and industry knowledge with apprentices and full-time FE and HE learners. A desire to undertake ongoing professional development, including learning new skills in engineering to support teaching and learning, is essential, as well as staying updated with industry developments.
