We are seeking a dedicated and passionate professional to join our team as an Employment Coach. As a key advocate for participants with neurodiverse disability, you will play a vital role in assisting them in securing and maintaining meaningful open employment.
Job Description:
1. Main Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement tailored employment support plans for NDIS participants.
* Provide one-on-one coaching, training, and support to participants to enhance their employability and workplace success.
* Work closely with employers to facilitate work experience, work trials, and employment to ensure a successful transition, considering neurodiversity and unique needs.
* Identify and address any barriers to employment, providing strategies to overcome these challenges, including customised in-work supports.
* Monitor participants' progress and adjust plans to ensure ongoing success and positive outcomes.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with NDIS participants, employers, and external stakeholders.
* Stay up-to-date with NDIS policies, procedures, and available resources to best support neurodiverse participants' needs.
What We're Looking For:
* A compassionate and patient individual with a genuine desire to empower people with neurodiverse disability.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport, trust, and adapt your approach to the needs of neurodiverse participants.
* Previous experience in employment services (disability), social work, or youth work is highly desirable.
* Able to navigate internal systems, reporting tools, and think outside the box to follow instructions.
* A positive attitude and a passion for making a difference in people's lives, especially for neurodiverse participants.
