Overview
Occupational Health/Registered Nurses sought for various remote locations for short term and ongoing assignments throughout Western Australia.
The roles provide delivery of health and clinic functions to ensure the provision of a safe and healthy working workplace and the minimization of risk and harm to employees and contractors.
Responsibilities
- Assessing and treating patients for work and non-work related injuries and illnesses
- Responding to medical emergencies
- Undertaking and assessing pre-employment medicals
- Promoting health education
- Day to day running of site Health Centres including managing medical records, maintaining adequate levels of drugs and medical/first aid supplies, and maintaining medical equipment.
Essential qualifications and qualities
- Experience in Emergency and/or ICU
- Experience in industrial nursing or remote area nursing
- Sound knowledge of assessment techniques of work related and non-work related illness or injury
- Experience with Workers Compensation injury management is highly regarded
- Drug and alcohol collection and management
- Current AHPRA registration with no conditions, undertakings or reprimands
