About the role
The Finance and Property Officer is responsible for assisting the Parish Priest in all financial and property aspects of the Catholic Parishes of Rockhampton. The Finance and Property Officer works with the Parish Receptionist and Pastoral Assistant in the operation and performance of administration functions of the Catholic Parishes of Rockhampton at the Parish Centre. The Finance and Property Officer works as a member of the Parish Team with key linkages to the Diocese of Rockhampton. This is a part-time role working 12 hours per week.
The Finance and Property Officer is responsible for:
* Preparing and presenting records, budgets and reports from the accounting software system or other applicable data on all financial transactions.
* Managing purchase orders and processing invoices.
* Overseeing the maintenance and upkeep of buildings, plant and equipment.
* Assisting in the development of a Catholic Parishes of Rockhampton Operations Manual to provide guidelines and procedures for the administration and management of the Parishes to achieve consistency across each parish.
What we're looking for
* An individual with two of years' experience in a financial/bookkeeping role
* Competency in the use of Microsoft office suite
* Intermediate competency in the use of MYOB or a willingness to learn
