Roper Gulf Regional Council is seeking a dedicated and experienced Aboriginal Community Liaison Officer (Male) to join our team in Katherine.Our Aboriginal Community Liaison Officer (ACLO) will work strategically with the community, Councillors, the Council, and stakeholders to deliver meaningful outcomes for local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities within the Roper Gulf Regional Council region. The focus will be on advancing reconciliation, promoting self-determination, and fostering sustainable, positive change.Additionally, the ACLO will collaborate with the Council and the wider community to effectively implement, monitor, and report on the RGRC Reconciliation Action Plan.To Be Successful In Your Role, You Will HaveAdvanced Diploma or Diploma in Aboriginal Studies, Community Development, or Social Science, or a minimum of three (3) years' experience in a similar role.Demonstrated understanding of and ability to work with the local Aboriginal community and key stakeholders.The ability to utilise initiative and gain cooperation from key stakeholders in the development, coordination, and successful delivery of projects and initiatives.Well-developed communication skills, sound organisational and time management skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office packages.The ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet organisational strategic outcomes.This position is classified at Level 6, with a salary range of $86,864.88 to $95,537.71 plus superannuation.
