Help us deliver like never before As a Seasonal Van Driver, you'd be operating and delivering in our vans as the face of our trusted business. You'd be working autonomously out on the road, interacting with others and helping deliver for Australians during our busiest time of the year. We're now hiring for our seasonal period. Seasonal team members generally commence across October and November and depending on parcel volume, assisting us to deliver until around Christmas. Monday-Friday availability required, 7:00am - 11:00am You’ll be paid : Seasonal Van Drivers (21 years or older) are paid $34.45 per hour, including casual loading, plus 12% superannuation Junior rates apply to applicants under 21 years old Some roles may also attract penalty rates for overtime, evening, and weekend work You’ll also have access to ‘Post Perks’ – a benefits platform where you’ll have access to 100s of discounts and offers on heaps of your favourite brands for groceries, fashion, tech, travel and everything in between. You’ll be: Required to drop off and pick up mail and parcel items to and from our customers Sometimes required to pick up mail from Street Posting Boxes, Corporate Offices, Licensed Post Offices and Delivery Centres Unloading mail articles from vans and manually sorting them into small or large letters and parcels including express posts Completing your own daily vehicle safety check About you: You hold a full Australian driver’s licence or in the final year of your probationary licence You’ll successfully pass our mandatory and practical driving assessment You have a great memory, excellent attention to detail and can lift up to 16kgs of Mail and Parcels regularly You'll need to meet our safe working load limit of weighing 130kgs or less We’re delivering together At Australia Post, we acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we operate, live and gather as employees.
