Cable Beach Club Resort & Spa is located on the world famous Cable Beach in beautiful Broome, far north Western Australia. Broome is easily accessible by plane to all major Australian cities and offers a relaxed lifestyle with all the conveniences of shops, restaurants, cinemas, hospital and schools. Our property has 225 rooms of varying styles, 4 restaurants, pool side bars, tour desk, resort shop and a full service Day Spa.
We are currently seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Refrigeration Mechanic to join our Engineering department on a Full Time basis. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager and working in conjunction with other Trades and Maintenance staff, the successful candidate will be responsible for efficiently and effectively ensuring that all refrigeration systems throughout the Resort are maintained and repaired where required. Free onsite accommodation provided.
The key duties and responsibilities of this position include:
* Maintain, repair, monitor and fault find refrigeration systems such as kitchen cold rooms, ice machines and air conditioning units
* Install any new or replacement refrigeration systems
* Conduct regular preventative maintenance such as cleaning of air conditioning filters
* Attend to any after hour call outs
* Ensure compliance with OHS policies and procedures
The required skills and experience for this role include:
* Trade qualification in Refrigeration Mechanics
* A minimum of 3 years post apprenticeship experience
* Current ARTIK certification
* Current restricted of full WA Electrical License
* Current Working At Heights certification
* Current manual driver's license
* Proven experience to work effectively without supervision
* A strong understanding of occupational health and safety regulations and practices
* Previous experience in a similar role within a Hotel or Resort environment is preferred
