RCR Mining Technologies are currently recruiting for an Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer to join our growing team. Based in our Bunbury head office, you will collaborate with a large, multidisciplinary team to successfully deliver a series of projects.
Key Responsibilities are:
* Lead and contribute to the electrical design development of bulk materials handling plant and equipment.
* Prepare detailed electrical design documentation.
* Ensure compliance with relevant Australian and international standards, statutory requirements, and client requirements.
* Collaborate with engineers, designers, and workshop personnel to deliver integrated, multidisciplinary design outcomes.
* Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and technical evaluations across all project phases.
* Develop practical, innovative, and safe design solutions aligned with project scope, client expectations, and "Safety in Design" principles.
* Provide technical support and direction throughout the equipment lifecycle—from concept through to manufacture, installation, and commissioning.
* Assist with the preparation of engineering cost estimates, technical proposals, and project schedules.
* Lead and manage electrical design work, including planning, subcontractor management, task tracking, and reporting.
* Mentor and guide other engineers and designers to support skills development and quality outcomes.
* Support procurement activities by obtaining and evaluating quotations for supplier equipment and assist with technical input for tenders, quotations, and client clarifications.
The successful candidate will display the following skills and experience:
* Bachelor of Electrical Engineering (recognised by Engineers Australia).
* 2+ years of demonstrable experience in an Electrical Engineering Design role.
* Relevant experience in the Mining and Resource industry.
* Competent to perform electrical calculation and design work.
* Ability to articulate and follow the electrical engineering design workflow and process.
* Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
* Understanding of quality management systems.
* Ability to work in a team environment.
