About the Role
The Maintenance Superintendent will lead maintenance teams at a coal project. This site-based role requires working on a 9-day fortnight roster and involves close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and legislative standards.
* Lead, coach, and mentor the team to deliver planned works and meet performance targets.
* Develop and manage maintenance plans to achieve plant availability, production schedules, and goals.
* Monitor and control maintenance costs, reviewing expenses and identifying opportunities for efficiencies.
* Foster strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, subcontractors, and suppliers.
* Drive continuous improvement by streamlining processes and enhancing productivity.
This role requires a proactive leader with extensive experience in operations and a track record of driving results in a mining environment.
Skills & Qualifications
* Relevant Coal Mining Industry competencies: RIIRIS301A, RIICOM301B, RIIOHS301A.
* Substantial experience managing operational teams in the mining industry.
* Proficiency with financial, automation, and scheduling packages.
* Comprehensive knowledge of the Coal Mining Safety and Health Act 1999.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
