We have an exciting Associate Solicitor opportunity for you to join our professional
,
supportive, and friendly firm.
Current admission to practice as a solicitor in any Australian state is required.
Candidates must be Australian citizens or permanent residents with valid work authorisation.
We are looking for someone with 3-5+ years PAE experience in the following areas:
* preparation of Wills (complex and straight forward), Enduring Powers of Attorney, Appointments of Enduring Guardian
* administration of Estates, including obtaining Grants of Probate and Letters of Administration
* conducting Contested Wills and Estates Litigation including Family Provision Claims, Rectification of Wills and Probate Litigation generally
* A minimum of 3-5+ years active practice experience in contested wills and estates litigation is essential.
* advising on Estate Planning
* a working knowledge of and an understanding of complex testamentary trusts would be an advantage
* developing and consolidating an up to date set of precedents
* ability to use Microsoft products confidently
* working knowledge of LEAP software an advantage
* property law experience and / or family law also an advantage
The candidate will also have the following attributes:
* ability to work autonomously, as well as part of a team
* excellent written and oral communication skills
* solid drafting skills (concise and current)
* good time management and organisational skills
* strong attention to detail
* a mature and professional attitude
* a positive and friendly manner
* a good work ethic, taking initiative and be self-motivated
