About the Role You will play an important part in supporting the administration of surgical training programs, helping to ensure future surgeons receive high-quality education and training throughout their pathway to Fellowship. In this role, you will provide administrative support across a range of training and accreditation activities. Working closely with colleagues, specialty committees, hospitals and trainees, you will help maintain accurate records, coordinate communications and support key processes within the training program. Key responsibilities include: Providing administrative support to the SET team and associated committees Responding to enquiries from trainees, supervisors, trainers and hospitals Assisting with surgical training selection activities, including applications, referee reports and interview administration Supporting hospital accreditation and supervisor-related correspondence Maintaining accurate trainee, supervisor and hospital records and databases Assisting with reporting, data verification and information management activities Coordinating meetings, preparing correspondence and supporting day-to-day team operations Updating website content and assisting with process improvements and reporting initiatives The role is full time on a 12-month maximum term contract. About the Team The Surgical Education and Training (SET) Department is responsible for the selection, training and assessment of surgical trainees across Australia and New Zealand. The team works closely with specialty training committees, hospitals, surgical educators and trainees to support high-quality surgical education and help ensure surgeons are equipped to provide safe, comprehensive care to their communities. About You You are a capable administrator who enjoys working in a busy environment, managing multiple priorities and maintaining high levels of accuracy. You will bring: Previous experience in an administrative role Experience maintaining databases and managing data records Strong attention to detail and accuracy, particularly when entering and verifying data Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines The ability to work independently and use sound judgement when setting priorities Confidence working with a wide range of stakeholders Strong Microsoft Office skills, including SharePoint, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Dynamics Experience using Adobe Acrobat Pro A collaborative approach and willingness to support team objectives Download Position Description
