About The Role
The Psychologist is a member of an inter-disciplinary team and works with children and young people with developmental, cognitive, social, emotional, behavioural and physical difficulties, and exceptional needs (including giftedness) and their families. The Psychologist works with preschool and school staff, and parents to develop evidence-based psychology interventions that include proactive, targeted and intensive strategies that can be adapted for learning and home contexts.
This position works under the professional support and direction of the Senior Psychologist.
Student Support Services are on a cultural response journey, as such we value and prioritise Aboriginal ways of knowing, doing and being.

Essential:
Current and full registration (general) with the Psychology Board of Australia.

Special Conditions
The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry. The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN –EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online (Fundamentals) course which will be required to be updated every three years.

Remuneration
* AHP2 $88,255 - $102,240 per annum (1.0 FTE) + superannuation (11.5%)

Additional Note
Multiple vacancies available (1.6FTE), initial 12-month term contract with the possibility of extension.
Position can be based at Port Pirie or Kadina.
A 20% salary loading may be available by negotiation for applicants willing to move to the region and being based in the Port Pirie or Kadina office.
Location is negotiable and flexible working arrangements including drive in, drive out arrangement may be negotiated with the successful applicant to meet business needs.
Drive in - drive out will be considered upon negotiation for the right applicant.
