The role:
The Registered Midwife:
1. Strengthens health outcomes through the provision of safe quality, clinically appropriate midwifery care in partnership with women, their families and other health professionals.

Details of Appointment
Fixed term casual, shift-worker position working as and when required, commencing as soon as possible until 30 April 2024
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant
2. Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time and part time vacancies.
Salary: $69,835 - $96,428 per annum (pro rata) + 10.5% superannuation + access to salary packaging
3. Access to the Grade 4 salary range $87,970 - $96,428 is subject to successful application for progression to Grade 4
4. Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Agreement 2019
Eligibility:
Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:
5. Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Midwife
6. Current Working with Children Registration
*Registration/licences that are essential requirements of this role must remain current and valid at all times whilst employed in this role and the status of these may be checked at any time during employment. It is the employee’s responsibility to ensure that registration/licences remain current and to advise the Employer if their circumstances change. This includes notifying the Employer if a registration/licence is revoked, cancelled or has its conditions altered.
The Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this job is to satisfy a pre‑employment check before taking up the appointment, on promotion or transfer. The following checks are to be conducted:
