We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, professional, and friendly Full-Time/Part-Time/Casual Medical Receptionistto join our busy Medical Centre in Toowoomba for an immediate start. Hours are Monday to Friday and Saturdays on a roster system with the ability to work either an open or close shift.
The ideal applicant will be willing to grow with our practice and expand on their knowledge and skills. We are looking for a candidate who is looking for a long term commitment, who loves a challenge and who thrives in a busy, fast paced environment. No two days are the same.
Our Medical Receptionists are responsible for coordinating the daily administration of doctors, staff, visitors, and patients at Westridge.
Position Involves:
* Welcome patients into the practice in a courteous manner
* Answer phone calls and enquiries in a professional and friendly manner
* Role Supports service delivery through scheduling and managing patient appointments.
* To deliver exceptional customer service at all times
* Collect and enter patient details.
* Excellent communications skills with a positive and friendly manner
* General administrative duties such as scanning, faxing, mail sorting and filing
* Collaborating with medical staff to ensure smooth patient flow and exceptional customer service
* Monitoring stock and supply levels at the Clinic.
* Patient billing and processing of payments.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
* Knowledge of Medicare and DVA billing procedures
* Maintaining cleanliness and organization
* Strong ability to multi-task a must
* Professional appearance and demeanor
* Ensuring billing is completed accurately and in a timely manner
* Must be available for open/closes and Saturday morning shifts
The Medical Receptionist will be required to:
* Undertake a pre-employment interview
* Provide appropriate references for contact as requested by the practice
* Participate in an orientation or induction program
* Participate in a performance review
* Mandatory Qualifications and other requirements
Mandatory training in:
* Fire Safety - General evacuation instructions and first response evacuation
* Infection Control
* Workplace Health & Safety
* Basic Life Support
Skills required:
* A high level of confidentiality and professional ethics
* Proficient computer skills- Knowledge of Best Practice (Highly Desirable)
* Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Highly Desirable)
* Previous Medical Reception experience essential
* A team player attitude is essential
* Knowledge of Medicare and Private Billings
*Mature Nature, Friendly, Professional attitude and Presentation
*Ability to multi task
*Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
*Ability to cope well under pressure and a can do attitude
*A strong work ethic and sense of responsibility
