Are you a skilled HR professional with a passion for leadership and strategic workforce management? The Corporate Services Hub, located within the Office of the Deputy Director-General, Corporate Division, is seeking a dynamic Principal Human Resource Advisor to lead and inspire our team.

The Corporate Services Hub within TMR provides professional, timely and consistent Human Resource and Finance services to Corporate Division branches, including Human Resources; Legal, Information Access and Prosecutions, Governance and Internal Audit. We also support the Director-General\'s office and other Office of the Director-General business units, including the Enabling Solutions Group.
As the Principal Human Resource Advisor, you will play a pivotal role in providing direction, support and guidance to the HR team, ensuring the delivery of quality, customer-focused, strategic and tactical advice to our customer base. You will oversee a business partner service offering that promotes and enables effective contemporary human resource management practices.
Key Responsibilities
* Collaborate with the Manager to provide direction, support, and oversight, building capability and enabling the team to deliver their program of work effectively.
* Provide direct line management to generalist HR professionals, supporting a customer base of approximately 1,000 employees.
* Deliver strategic and tactical HR advice, including complex case management, change management, and preparing correspondence and briefing notes on workforce management matters.
* Lead strategic workforce initiatives, such as workforce planning, capability development, and Working for Queensland action planning.
* Foster a safe and supportive workplace culture while contributing to the professional growth of your colleagues.
Mandatory Qualifications And Conditions
* A criminal history check will be undertaken prior to appointment due to access to sensitive data.
Requirements Of The Role
* Demonstrated knowledge of relevant legislation, enterprise agreements, awards, policies and practices related to contemporary HR management, particularly within the Queensland Public Sector.
* Proven experience in complex case management, including managing workplace conflict, performance issues, complaints and injury/illness cases.
* Advanced negotiation and problem-solving skills with the ability to maintain positive relationships.
* Resilience and the ability to navigate ambiguity to deliver outcomes in a complex and changing environment.
* Demonstrated supervision and leadership experience to support capability uplift within the HR team, enabling effective delivery of all programs of work.
