Reporting to the Head of Financial Accounting & Reporting and as part of the Finance team, this role is the trusted subject matter expert on payroll operations, partnering with internal teams and external providers to ensure accurate and timely pay in line with local regulations.ResponsibilitiesPrepare payrolls and coordinate with outsourced payroll providers for various regions; collaborate with stakeholders across the business in different regionsWork with accounting and compliance teams to ensure payroll journals and filings are processed accurately and on timePrepare payroll reports and analysis for internal and global employees (AU, NZ, UK)Review pay runs/invoices with outsourced providers and EORsNavigate payroll processes across countries; resolve issues and discrepanciesReview WFH expenses and process claims/reimbursementsEnsure timely payroll filings and obligations (e.g., PAYG/PAYE, payroll tax, super, workers compensation insurance renewals)Serve as primary Finance contact for payroll matters with the business and external vendorsPrepare monthly payroll reconciliations and assist with cashflow forecasting related to payrollAssist with external audits and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy of the global payroll review processStay updated on changes in payroll legislation and best practicesWho you are / Qualifications4+ years of experience in a payroll roleKeyPay (Employment Hero Payroll) system experience essentialExperience running payroll in Australia and New Zealand is essentialExperience running payroll in the UK and other regions (e.g., Southeast Asia) is advantageousIntermediate to advanced Excel/Google SheetsData-driven, autonomous, with strong planning and organizational skillsProven payroll experience in a high-volume environmentStrong communication and stakeholder management with varying levels of payroll/finance knowledgeAbility to work autonomously with minimal supervision and strong decision-making/problem-solving skillsAbility to adapt to urgent or unforeseen circumstancesWhat we can offerRemote work with flexibility to own your time and impactAccess to cutting-edge tools to amplify your work and learningAmbitious, outcome-driven colleagues and a culture of performanceESOP (employee share options) in a fast-growing tech companyBenefits including generous parental leave, subsidised egg freezing, a WFH office expense budget, and learning & development opportunitiesAre we a match?
