Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Team Leader (Horticultural Services) to lead a small outdoor crew responsible for the upkeep and presentation of streetscapes and public open spaces across the City.
Reporting to the Supervisor Streetscape Horticulture, this role oversees daily operations and ensures work is delivered safely, efficiently and to agreed performance standards. Key responsibilities include:
* Undertake routine or reactive maintenance works in accordance with landscape maintenance schedules or as directed by the Supervisor, Streetscape Horticulture, and report progress and completion of works on a daily basis.
* Provide advice, guidance and direction to trainees and Streetscape Horticulture Operators (including agency staff) on agreed service levels and horticultural practices. Leading by example, and ensure knowledge is transferred to employees in the Streetscape Horticulture Unit. Monitor performance including manage team member behaviour issues with a fair approach.
* Develop forward plans for landscape rejuvenation initiatives with the Supervisor, Streetscape Horticulture.

* Certificate III in Horticulture (Amenity) or demonstrated equivalent competency.
* Certificate in Basic Worksite Traffic Management.
* Seeking a self‐starter with sound horticultural knowledge who can independently make decisions and take proactive action.
* Capability to inspire and motivate the team, fostering a positive work environment.
