Your Opportunity
Join our Finance team as a Payroll Officer, where you'll play a key role in delivering accurate, compliant, and timely payroll services across CVGT Employment. You'll manage end‐to‐end payroll processing, maintain employee lifecycle data, and ensure all payroll activities meet Award, EBA, and legislative requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
* Payroll Processing: Lead and manage end‐to‐end fortnightly and monthly payroll cycles, ensuring employee data, pay rates, deductions, and entitlements are accurate, compliant, and completed on time.
* Employee Lifecycle & System Management: Maintain accurate payroll records across the full employee lifecycle and ensure payroll systems remain updated, reliable, and well‐managed.
* Compliance: Interpret Awards, EBAs, and legislation to apply correct pay and conditions and manage compliance obligations including STP, superannuation, and PLSL schemes.
* Reporting & Reconciliation: Prepare payroll reports, journals, finance imports, and monthly reconciliations, identifying discrepancies early and supporting audit, assurance, and financial reporting processes.
* Stakeholder Support: Support staff with payroll queries and system access, work collaboratively with People & Culture on matters such as WorkCover, and contribute to the ongoing improvement of payroll procedures and reporting.
What You'll Bring
* Experience: Minimum 3 years' experience in payroll, with confidence interpreting Awards and EBAs.
* Qualification: A payroll, finance, or related qualification is preferred, but not essential.
* Capabilities: Strong attention to detail, excellent numerical ability, and great organisation and problem‐solving skills.
* Technical Skills: Strong computer and Microsoft Office skills, with experience in Employee Connect or Workforce One viewed favourably.
* Pre-Requisites: Full work rights in Australia, with the ability to obtain a National Police Check and Working with Children Check.
