St Peter’s Outside School Hours Care has proudly supported our community since 1990. Located within the school grounds, our dedicated space offers before and after school care, as well as vacation care, for up to 105 children. We’re looking for an experienced and dedicated educator who loves working with primary school-aged children and is committed to creating a fun, safe, and nurturing environment for them to thrive.
Position
Join Our OSHC Team as an Assistant Coordinator
Permanent, Part-time | 30 hours per week | Monday to Friday (split shifts)
Location – Within St Peter’s School grounds, OSHC facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Coordinator in the day-to-day operations of the service, including program planning, delivery, and documentation
- Staff rostering and supervision
- Assist in the delivery of a high quality, inclusive, educational program
- Provide children with a safe, secure, welcoming, and nurturing environment
- Work collaboratively within an established team to ensure the best outcomes for children and families
- Participate in professional and personal development
- Consent to be the Responsible Person on site in the absence of the coordinator
- Promote the service within the local community in accordance with the Vision, Mission and Values of Centacare Child Care Services
Job Requirements
- Diploma in Children Services/Early Childhood or ACECQA equivalent
- Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card), First Aid, CPR, Asthma/Anaphylaxis
- Knowledge and understanding of the National Quality Framework, My Time Our Place framework and National Law/Regulations
- Experience in the education and care of children
- Effective computer skills including experience with childcare management software (Xplor preferred)
- Effective workplace communication and leadership skills
