About the role

As part of the Tony White Group, and located within the friendly Ferntree Gully community, Ferntree Gully Automotive is a multi‐franchise dealership with all brands located at one location.

As our new Assistant Stock Controller, you will be fully trained in assisting in all stock‐control admin duties and helping to process the dealership's vehicle registrations and transfers.

The successful candidate will provide support to our awesome administration team.

Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

* Bringing vehicles into stock
* Data Entry & filing
* Raising purchase orders for freight
* Maintain registration records and manage plate inventory
* Liaise with internal departments to ensure a seamless customer journey
* Vic Roads registrations & transfers ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
* Vehicle Stock Control back‐up
* Reception relief
* Utilizing company software proficiently and accurately
* Ongoing training

Previous experience in a retail automotive dealership could be advantageous but is not essential as training will be provided to the right candidate.

Required attributes, skills and experience

* Ability to work independently
* Be reliable and punctual
* Solid admin experience (automotive industry experience a big plus!)
* Familiarity with VicRoads systems – highly regarded but not essential
* Minimum basic Windows and email proficiency is required for computer literacy
* Willingness to learn
* Good work ethic
* Team player attitude
* Ability to work well in a fast‐paced environment
* Able to multitask and effectively prioritise workload to complete tasks and deadlines within time constraints
* An enthusiastic and bright personality
* High attention to detail
* Exceptional communication skills and professional phone manner
* Professional, neat presentation
* Strong ability to work as a part of a team
* Ability to follow procedures and instructions
* Proactive approach to workplace tasks and the ability to work independently
* Australian work rights are essential for this position
