Exciting opportunity for an experienced Financial Controller to join a high‑growth, science‑driven organisation focused on delivering innovative sustainability solutions within the agriculture sector.
About the Role
As a key member of the leadership team and reporting to the CFO and leading a small Business Services team, the Financial Controller will oversee all financial reporting, planning and analysis, risk and governance processes, and operational support functions including HR and general administration. This is a hands‑on role well‑suited to a proactive and collaborative finance leader who thrives in a dynamic, purpose‑led environment.
Responsibilities
* Lead all financial reporting, ensuring compliance with Australian Accounting Standards, regulatory requirements, and ASX‑level reporting expectations.
* Manage month‑end and year‑end close, delivering accurate and timely consolidated results.
* Oversee statutory reporting, treasury, tax compliance, budgeting and forecasting.
* Act as the primary liaison for both internal and external audits.
* Maintain strong governance frameworks and internal controls, supporting Audit & Risk Committee reporting.
* Oversee grants‑related financial reporting and compliance.
* Lead sustainability and carbon‑related reporting, including ESG frameworks, emissions measurement, verification and reporting.
* Manage B Corp and other sustainability certification processes.
* Provide leadership, mentorship and operational oversight to the Business Services team.
Qualifications
* 8+ years' experience in senior financial roles, ideally within a complex or growth‑oriented environment.
* Experience working within or alongside ASX‑listed organisations.
* CA/CPA qualification and a strong technical accounting background.

* Strong analytical, communication and relationship‑building skills.
* High levels of initiative, organisational capability and problem‑solving ability.
* A genuine interest in sustainability, innovation and the agriculture or natural resources sectors.
