Job Description
We are seeking a Health Information Services Manager to provide strategic advice and leadership in the provision of health information services. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the orderly and secure storage of patient information, as well as providing access to patient information for continuum of care.
This role involves managing the release of information within statutory guidelines and providing management support for Activity Based Management (ABM). You will also lead the Clinical Coding Unit and the Clinical Information Department, and provide strategic oversight to patient services administration streams.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need a degree in Health Information Management or equivalent experience. You should have sound knowledge and experience in evaluating and establishing standards of Health Record Services and experience working in health information in a hospital setting.
* Demonstrated experience in applying data collection rules for admitted and non-admitted patient data and provision of advice and analysis reports in an ABM model
* Demonstrated experience in leading, developing and managing multiple teams
* Demonstrated experience in working with privacy legislation, release of information legislation/polices
