We are currently looking for a skilled professional to fill the position of Meat Department Manager.


About This Role

This full-time leadership role is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the meat department, ensuring exceptional quality and service standards are met. The successful candidate will have proven experience in managing high-volume sales environments and be skilled in rostering, invoicing, and clerical procedures.


Key Responsibilities

* Operational Management: Oversee daily meat department operations to deliver excellent quality and service standards.
* Sales and Profitability: Achieve sales budgets and gross profits while controlling shrinkage.
* Rostering and Stock Control: Complete rostering that meets customer needs while maintaining department budgets and manage stock levels effectively.
* Clerical Procedures: Order stock, maintain correct pricing and ticketing, and handle department invoicing efficiently.
* Quality and Safety: Conduct monthly stocktakes and maintain HACCP standards to ensure food safety requirements are met.
* Team Development: Coach and support team member development in a fast-paced environment, promoting positive attitudes and teamwork.

Ideal Candidate

* Leadership Experience: Proven experience managing a meat department in a supermarket or retail environment.

* Strong Leadership: Strong leadership skills with ability to coach and develop team members.
* HACCP Knowledge: Knowledge of HACCP standards and food safety requirements.
* Positive Attitude: Positive attitude with initiative and team collaboration skills.
