About the Company GBS Recruitment is proud to partner with a prominent company currently seeking a reliable and technically skilled Maintenance Officer / Handyperson. This position is suited to someone who takes pride in keeping facilities running smoothly, enjoys practical, hands-on work, and is confident dealing with a range of internal and external stakeholders. About the Role This is a diverse role involving daily upkeep and minor repairs across the facility. You will be the go-to person for maintenance and liaising with contractors across building systems. Ideally suited to a trade-qualified or experienced handyperson with a proactive approach and good communication skills. Full-time hours are preferred, though part-time options (0.8) may be available for the right candidate. The view is for a candidate to start in early January 2026. Casual hourly rate $35 p/h. Duties Perform day-to-day maintenance and general repairs throughout the facility Liaise with contractors covering building systems such as HVAC, security, lifts, and fire systems Complete minor administrative tasks including basic reporting and contractor follow-ups Maintain accurate records for mechanical and hydraulic systems Skills & Experience Previous experience in general maintenance, facilities, or building operations Trade qualifications (carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, etc.) highly regarded OH&S Certificate, Forklift Licence, and Manual Handling training desirable Strong communication skills and professional presentation for customer-facing environment Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team Basic administrative and computer skills How to Apply Apply now via the GBS Recruitment website: www.gbsrecruitment.com.au – Job Ref: 1010013.
