Are you a Registered /Enrolled Nurse with excellent interpersonal and customer service skills and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care?
Our Mount Private Hospital is seeking experienced Nurses suited to a fast-paced environment to be part of our Day Procedure Unit (DPU) and new Day of Surgery Admission (DOSA).
Key functions include:
- Specialising in endoscopy, cardiac, orthopaedic, general, neurosurgery and bariatric surgery
- Established and maintained positive relationships with patients, families, staff and VMOs from diverse backgrounds and cultures
- Provide exceptional customer service and person-centred and evidence-based care
- Provide supervision and preceptorship to Enrolled Nurses, graduates and students and AINs/PSAs
- Worked as a valued member of an inter-disciplinary team, managed own work time and personal well-being
- Lead successful quality improvement and safety management project/s to deliver desired outcomes
- Involved in clinical and compliance auditing
About You
You will hold a minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role. You will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and have a thorough understanding of patient care in a private hospital setting.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Current AHPRA registration (essential)
- Solid experience in a fast-paced perioperative environment
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and clinical problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated clinical expertise and knowledge of procedures and the management of patients undergoing surgical procedures
- Experience working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Experience implementing strategies to ensure that quality and risk management are integrated into daily activities
