Job Summary
The Electric Vehicle Charging Solutions Business Development Manager will grow the Electric Vehicle Charging business in Delta Electronics (Australia) to meet and exceed financial goals. The role involves maintaining and developing relationships with automotive manufacturers, distributors, system integrators and institutional partners. It requires preparing high‐quality tender proposals, reviewing contracts for bids, and developing new business from fresh leads. The manager will work closely with the marketing team to promote the brand and product based on a deep understanding of the market.
Main Responsibilities and Tasks
* Develop and execute the EVCS sales strategy.
* Prepare tender responses.
* Pitch Delta electric vehicle charging products and solutions to customers and partners.
* Create new customer accounts while maintaining strong relationships with existing partners.
* Research relevant organizations and individuals online to identify new leads and potential markets.
* Identify procurement decision makers and research market needs.
* Collaborate closely with the Marketing Team to engage customers.
* Attend conferences, meetings and industry events to promote the Delta brand.
* Coordinate with legal on contract reviews.
* Train personnel and help team members develop their skills.
* Monitor and report on profit & loss.
Qualifications
* Bachelor or Master degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing or a related field with a strong commercial sales focus.
* Technical background or experience ensuring understanding of charging products and their interface with electric vehicles.
* 5+ years of sales experience in the AU and NZ markets, with strategic decision‐making responsibilities.
* Tender response experience, ideally in the government sector.
* Experience selling AC or DC charging points is preferred.
Technical / Professional Skills
* In‐depth or rapidly acquired knowledge of the EV sector.
* Affinity with renewable technologies, product and service innovation.
* Strong understanding of the current EV industry environment in Australia & New Zealand.
