Elevant is dedicated to providing merchant partners and their customers with innovative financial solutions that empower growth, enhance financial well-being, and foster long‑lasting business relationships. As a newly launched business, we are focused on establishing and scaling the Elevant brand and product in the market.

We are seeking a Sales & Business Development Manager to lead our sales function, drive new business opportunities, and build the frameworks that will underpin our growth. This is a hands‑on leadership role: you will be responsible for managing and motivating the sales team, creating KPI and sales processes, and personally delivering commercial outcomes. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in the consumer finance sector, strong leadership capability, and the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, competitive environment.


Objectives of the role:

* Lead and manage the sales team to consistently achieve KPIs and exceed targets.
* Design and implement KPI frameworks, sales processes, and reporting structures to drive accountability and performance.
* Develop and execute sales strategies aligned with Elevant's growth objectives.
* Drive new business growth by identifying, pursuing, and closing opportunities with merchant partners.
* Build and strengthen client relationships to secure long‑term partnerships.
* Maintain accurate records of pipeline activity, client interactions, and outcomes using Zoho CRM.
* Stay hands‑on with key accounts and high‑value opportunities, ensuring commercial outcomes are achieved.


Responsibilities:

* Provide leadership, coaching, and direction to the sales team.
* Establish and refine KPI processes, sales workflows, and reporting mechanisms.
* Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to contract signing and onboarding.
* Collaborate with marketing and product teams to align sales strategy with broader business goals.
* Produce accurate pipeline, progress, and sales reports for leadership.
* Identify upsell, cross‑sell, and referral opportunities to maximize revenue.
* Act as both strategist and practitioner — balancing team leadership with direct business development activity.


Required skills and Qualifications:

* Proven experience in sales leadership and business development within the consumer finance industry .
* Demonstrated ability to design and implement KPI frameworks and sales processes.
* Track record of consistently hitting and exceeding sales targets.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills with persuasive presentation ability.
* Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.


Preferred skills and qualifications:

* Experience building and scaling sales teams in competitive markets.
* Skilled at managing multiple stakeholders and personalities with professionalism.
* Proficiency with CRM and customer success platforms (Zoho, Salesforce).
* Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to think strategically and execute tactically.
