**About Us**
Serco has a dedicated team of over 600 people supporting operations at Fiona Stanley Hospital and works in close partnership with the hospital leadership, WA Health, clinicians, and staff to deliver essential non-clinical facilities management, ICT and HR managed services. Our specialist team designs, manages and optimises the integrated services and are critical to the ongoing delivery of clinical services in Western Australia's largest and most digitally enabled public healthcare facility.

**About the role**

The Estates Services performs an effective maintenance service that provides a safe environment for high quality patient care. Contributing to creating Australia's leading health care environment by keeping the hospital buildings and equipment in a safe and usable condition that allows for their efficient utilisation and overall effectiveness.
The Maintenance Officer is part of a team that supports the ongoing management and coordination of day-to-day Maintenance Operations of a discrete multi-disciplinary team to achieve a high standard of performance within the Estates, Equipment Service.

You're a passionate leader with experience in delivering Electrical services across facilities management organisations. You have a balanced focus on strategy and operations and have a solution focussed approached with demonstrated Stakeholder management skills. You will maintain composure in challenging situations and have excellent time management skills to ensure your work is completed to complement the wider Estates Team. You will drive for continuous success and thrive in a fast paced and dynamic environment. You're a respectful and professional person who demonstrates exceptional values in everything you do.

**To be successful in this role you will have**:

- The highest levels of personal integrity and ethical behaviour.
- Relevant trade/ technical qualifications in a related discipline (Plumbing/Refrigeration/Electrical)
- Relevant licence in related discipline (Working at Heights, Confined Space, Low Voltage Rescue and CPR, Gas fitting, refrigeration, electrical, backflow prevention)
- Demonstrated experience within a Maintenance Officer or similar position
- Highly developed and demonstrated consultative, interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrated experience in effective contract management, particularly KPI Management
- Effective time management and organizational skills, including the ability to show initiative and work effectively under pressure
- Sound business acumen and a track record of delivering value-add impact in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Fosters a collaborative team spirit focused on service delivery
- Provide support in liaising with designated Clinical staff as required.
- Undertake and allocate appropriate team resources for planned preventative maintenance as set out in the preventative maintenance plan.
- Support the Maintenance Manager in addressing the day-to-day maintenance staff requirements including sickness absence, disciplinary and grievance matters, performance, recruitment and selection and personal and career development planning.
- Responsible for the day-to-day oversight and coordination of all allocated repair and maintenance activity for Infrastructure and Specialist systems in line with Serco's contractual obligations and operate within established budgets.
- Undertake and allocate appropriate team resources in response to reactive maintenance and emergency incidents in accordance with identified performance parameters
- Ensure critical spares and consumables are readily available for use by the team including appropriate tools and equipment.
- Conduct and annual critical spares review and liaise with the Stores Controller.
