Electrical Facilities Maintenance - Senior Trade Overseer
Location: Long Bay Correctional Centre
Employment type: Full-time Ongoing 5D (5 Days)
Salary: $105,040.00 pa + Incidental Allowance + Leave Loading + Superannuation
Your role:
We are looking for a proactive and dedicated Senior Trade Overseer to work within the Facilities Maintenance Electrical Unit at the Long Bay Correctional Centre
What you’ll do:
Join an organisation with a rich history where your trade experience is valued. Senior Trade Overseers are trade qualified Correctional Officers with the essential role of using your trade skills to work with and supervise inmates and other staff to undertake programmed and reactive maintenance tasks essential to keep the correctional centre operational.
Provide leadership and mentoring to Overseers, and supervise and develop inmates through managing, coaching, instructing, and encouraging them, as members of a team, in order that they may improve their work skills, enhance their post-release employment prospects, and contribute productively to Business Unit objectives.

Qualifications Required:
* Current Certificate III or higher in Relevant trade or tertiary qualifications (minimum Certificate III level) in Electrical
* Must possess Related Trade qualification and hold a current related NSW Fair Trading Electrical Contractor Licence or Qualified Supervisor Certificate. (ACMA Open Cabling Registration or equivalent industry approved qualification is desirable)
* Current Certificate III in Correctional Practice or capacity to complete within specified timeframes
* Possess proven trade experience, coordinating trade staff and operational activity.
* Current NSW Drivers Licence and preparedness to drive to locations as required
Essential Requirements:
* Proven post trade experience
* Experience which demonstrates the ability to meet the key accountabilities and focus capabilities as detailed in the Senior Overseer role description.
* Be willing to participate in a cyclic after-hours on-call roster, work overtime when required, work flexibly across trades to meet operational needs.
