**The Role**:
A successful Support Worker assists and supports aged and disabled people with compassionate care.
**Main Duties & Responsibilities**:
- Assisting participants with daily living tasks and independent skills
- Provide personal care; personal hygiene and grooming
- Support with light domestic duties including meal preparations and cleaning
- Provide transport to appointments and/or facilitate community outings
- Assist with social activities with participants
- Delivering individual support plans
- Documenting services delivered, incidents and reports
**Desirable**:
- Experience in aged care, community care, disability care, and/or youth work
- Certificate III in Individual Support, Disability Work, Equivalent qualification or currently studying to achieve
- Experience in providing personal care to both female and male participants and a willingness and ability to work with a variety of NDIS Participants with different levels of abilities
- Experience supporting Participants using frames, wheelchairs, and hoists.
**Essential Criteria**:
- Must be willing and available to work different rostered shifts including, morning, afternoon, evening, weekends, sleepovers, active nights, public holidays and split shifts.
- Must own a reliable vehicle with full comprehensive insurance.
- Must be willing to travel to all Sydney Metro areas.
- Must be vaccinated for Covid-19
- Have an excellent work ethic who likes challenges.
- Show initiative and enjoy working independently and as part of a team and think on your feet.
- Fit, energetic, and enthusiastic individual who has the ability to see the potential in people.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
**Licence/Certification**:
- NSW/International Driver's Licence
- Current First Aid and CPR certificates.
- NSW Working with Children's Check
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- NDIS Orientation Certificates
- COVID-19 Training Certificates
**Please note: we have only casual positions available initially; however for those who do show the right cultural fit, above commitment and the ability to work with a number of different types of NDIS participants will be offered permanent part time and full time roles.**
Pay is based on the SCHADS Award (Social, Community, Home Care & Disability Services Industry Award)
