ESM Compliance is a specialist company in the field of Essential Safety Measures and was established in order to assist building owners and property managers in meeting their ongoing legal responsibilities for the maintenance of their building’s Essential Safety Measures ensuring the safety of the occupants and buildings.
ESM Compliance audits a wide range of commercial and educational facilities across Victoria and is supported by an experienced team dedicated to training and mentoring new professionals.
About the Role
As a Cadet / Trainee ESM Auditor, you will work closely with experienced auditors while developing your technical and practical skills. With training and support, you will assist in auditing various building types, including warehouses, offices, retail spaces, schools, and industrial facilities.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Assisting with identifying non-compliances with the NCC, BCA, and Australian Standards
* Learning to prepare clear and accurate audit reports using our asset management system (Uptick)
* Supporting client communication in a professional manner
* Developing technical knowledge to assist clients and team members
* Participating in site inspections and compliance assessments
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
* Enthusiastic, reliable, and eager to learn
* Well organised with good attention to detail
* A confident communicator with a positive attitude
* Comfortable using technology and learning new systems
* Able to work independently and as part of a team
Requirements
* Recent Year 12 graduates are encouraged to apply
* Studying towards or holding a Diploma of Building Surveying (minimum), or equivalent
* Valid Victorian driver’s licence and reliable vehicle
* Willing to obtain a Working With Children Check and Police Check
* Ability to travel throughout metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria (including occasional overnight stays)
* Australian citizenship
