Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate Senior Compliance Specialist to join our Line 2 Compliance team. As a Senior Compliance Specialist, you’ll play a key role in further strengthening and embedding our compliance management practices. Reporting to the Senior Leader – Compliance, you will drive the implementation, monitoring and advisory of compliance across our business to ensure our obligations are met under financial services, credit, AML/CTF, and prudential regulations. You’ll provide expert advice to support the management of our compliance obligations, and help us meet the expectations of our customers, regulators, and community.
Responsibilities
* Reviewing and interpreting regulatory obligations to ensure operational compliance.
* Identifying and assessing compliance incidents, advising on remediation, and preventing recurrences.
* Preparing regulatory submissions, reports, returns, and attestations.
* Maintaining and overseeing compliance breach registers and risk‑related documentation.
* Conducting Privacy, TPRA and other regulatory risk assessments.
* Developing strong relationships with internal stakeholders and regulators.
* Promote a culture of compliance and integrity across the organisation.
Qualifications
* Proven compliance experience in the financial services industry.
* Deep knowledge of AFSL/ACL requirements, APRA standards, and AML/CTF obligations.
* Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex regulations.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Exceptional attention to detail and time management.
* Ability to influence, advise, and constructively challenge stakeholders at all levels.
* A collaborative mindset and proactive approach to problem solving.
* A tertiary qualification in compliance, risk, law, or a related field and/or compliance certification is preferred.
