This is an incredible opportunity to work as an Emergency Medicine CMO at one of Australia’s leading teaching tertiary hospitals.

You will be working as part of a traditional firm of doctors, including consultants, other registrars, medical officers, and interns. The shift pattern varies depending on your rotation but generally includes days, evenings, and nights over a 7-day week.
The hospital has extensive experience working with overseas-trained registrars, making it easy to comply with AHPRA regulations and demonstrate supervision and monitoring during your placement.
Multiple full-time positions (38-43 hours per week) are available, with 12+ month fixed-term contracts.

The Facility :
The 550-bed tertiary hospital is Tasmania’s largest, employing over 3,000 staff. It is accredited with RACP and collaborates with the University of Tasmania, attracting strong junior support. It serves a population of around 250,000 and is the referral hospital for the region, offering services in general medicine, obstetrics, gynecology, pediatrics, orthopedics, psychiatry, urology, oncology, and more. The hospital is both a teaching hospital and a WBA - workplace-based assessment facility.
Eligibility :
* General, Provisional, or Limited registration with AHPRA, or eligibility to obtain it
* IMGs who have completed the AMC MCQ (Part 1) or both AMC 1 & 2 (clinical exam)
* IMGs eligible via the Competent Authority Pathway (training in UK, USA, NZ, Canada, or Ireland)
* IMGs assessed by ACEM College as partially or substantially comparable (interviewing with ACEM are encouraged to apply)
* IMGs interested in foreign training via the Short Term Training Specialist Pathway (STT)
* Experience working as an Emergency Medicine Registrar
