About The Role
As a Driver / Storeperson / Handyperson, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our community health facilities. No two days are the same, with responsibilities spanning transport services, maintenance, stores management, fleet coordination, and facility support.
Responsibilities
* Opening and securing the facility
* Conducting duress alarm checks
* Maintaining gardens and grounds
* Managing fleet vehicles and vehicle maintenance activities
* Coordinating stores and deliveries
* Providing transport for rehabilitation clients
* Performing general handyman and maintenance tasks
* Supporting operations at Raymond Terrace Community Health Centre two days per week
* Assisting with courier and transport services across Community and Allied Care Services sites
This position works closely with the Nurse Unit Manager and a multidisciplinary team to ensure the facility remains safe, welcoming, and operational.
About You
* Can work effectively both independently and as part of a team
* Has strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Demonstrates initiative and the ability to think outside the box
* Is reliable, punctual, and organised
* Understands and works within Workplace Health and Safety requirements
* Has experience in handyman, maintenance, groundskeeping, stores, or similar roles (highly regarded)
Essential Criteria
* Valid driver's license with eligibility to drive in NSW and willingness to travel for work purposes
Support and Training
* A full week of supernumerary orientation and training with the current Storeperson
* Ongoing support from the Nurse Unit Manager
* Guidance and assistance from experienced colleagues across the facility
