About the role Working alongside another Early Childhood Teacher (ECT) in our kindergarten and supported by a non contact nominated supervisor as well as a service support coordinator you will have an abundance of resources to draw from.
You will be provided generous amounts of non-contact programming time alongside your team.
This will help you to plan, develop and evaluate a high quality play based program which incorporates the needs of individual children and groups to optimise their learning, wellbeing, and safety.
You will evaluate children's readiness for school, identify strategies and provide support to children and parents where appropriate.
Our Sessional Kindergarten enables children to enjoy indoor and outdoor natural play areas, rooms equipped with the latest age appropriate technology and learning resources.
The Kindergarten caters for 22 children per day, with operating hours from 8:30am to 2:30pm during school terms.
Duties Plan, implement and document a rich program which reflects your vision of a creative learning environment for children of all abilities and all cultures Collaborate and work alongside other professionals like Social Workers, Child Health Nurses, Speech Pathologists and other Allied Health professionals.
Undertake assessments to evaluate children's readiness for school, identifying strategies and providing support for children and parents where appropriate Support and guide staff in their daily work to enable the effective provision of services across the day Salary and Benefits We support people to live their best life.

Our Reconciliation Commitment -Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander employees are entitled up to 2 days paid plus up to 10 days unpaid cultural leave, as well as the option to be a voice on reference networkinggroups, the opportunity for cultural and professional development Skills and Requirements Skills and Experience As an experienced Early Childhood Teacher, you will have: Bachelor of Teaching or Education (Early Childhood) A sound knowledge of the Kindergarten Learning Guidelines, Early Years Learning Framework and innovative practice Experience developing a rich curriculum utilising current pedagogy Ability to have supportive and respectful conversations with colleagues and families to collaborate on an individual learning program for each child.
