Job Description
Our client requires up to 80 hardworking and physically fit poultry attendants for a 9 month contract in the Neergabby, Bullsbrook, Hill River and surrounding areas of Western Australia. The work will commence from March 2026 and will be paid under the Pastoral Award 2020 on a casual hourly basis. The work is manual and physically intensive, including moving thousands of chickens into and out of sheds everyday, pushing large trolleys, animal welfare checks and operation of farm packing machines for egg collection along with other general farmhand tasks as insutructed / required by Management.
You will be required to work both indoors and outdoors in a range of weather conditions. The environment can be very dusty which may not be suitable for applicants who have dust allergies and / or asthma. A 6 day minimum availability is required.
Starting times may vary from 5am to 7am with long hours and occasional 6 day shifts. You may be asked to work through weekends and / or on Public holidays depending on workload. Applicants must have the ability to travel to / from or reside in the Neergabby area or surrounds as no public transport is available to the farms.
Successful applicants must be able to adhere to company QA and OH&S requirements and random drug and alcohol testing applies to this workplace. Previous and current physical outdoor activites or lifestyle habits will be highly regarded. Work is offered through an agency.
