Job Description:
As a Water Treatment Facility Maintenance Specialist, you will be responsible for the efficient and safe operation of water treatment facilities. This includes operating complex machinery, performing routine laboratory tests, and making adjustments to the water treatment process as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
* Operate pumps, motors, and other equipment in water treatment plants
* Perform routine laboratory tests, including chlorine residual tests
* Maintain accurate records of operations and test results
* Make adjustments to the water treatment process as needed to ensure high-quality drinking water
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* A high school diploma or equivalent is required
* Five (5) years of documented hands-on experience working on-site in a water treatment facility is required for advanced positions
* Three (3) years of documented hands-on experience working on-site in a water treatment facility is required for intermediate positions
* One (1) year of documented hands-on experience working on-site in a water treatment facility is required for entry-level positions
* A valid Florida Driver's license is required
* A valid active Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) Class A, Class B, or Class C Drinking Water Operator's license is required
Physical Requirements: May include lifting 50 lbs or more, carrying 50 lbs or more, pushing 50 lbs or more, and pulling 50 lbs or more.
