About the role
Ivy Psychology is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Clinical Psychologist to join our growing team. This is a contract role that offers an attractive hourly rate based on experience along with access to administration support, clinical supervision, and a suite of psychometric software and tools.
You will provide a mix of in-clinic and telehealth psychology services from our new Randwick clinic, supporting clients with a wide range of mental health concerns. For those interested in further professional development, there is scope to expand your role to include psychological assessments and other specialised services.
We are currently offering 2-4 days per week based at our Randwick clinic, with the option to provide both face-to-face sessions on site and telehealth appointments.
We are excited to be expanding our offerings to a physical practice in Randwick in early 2026, creating ongoing opportunities for clinic-based work as the service grows.
What you'll be doing
* Provide evidence-based therapies to a diverse client base in our Randwick clinic
* Provide psychological therapy via telehealth, using our clinic facilities
* Work with a diverse range of people and presentations across a variety of funding streams (NDIS, Medicare, Private Health, WorkCover, private fee-paying clients)
* Maintain accurate clinical records and prepare reports to support client care
* Participate in ongoing professional development to stay up to date with current research and best practice
* (Optional) Expand into psychometric assessments and/or developing comprehensive behaviour support plans, if this aligns with your interests
What we're looking for
* A minimum of General Registration as a Psychologist with AHPRA. Clinical (or other) Endorsements are highly regarded
* A current Australian Business Number (ABN), or eligibility to obtain one
* Demonstrated experience in psychological counselling, with strong skills in formulation and treatment planning
* A minimum of 3-5 years of psychological counselling experience is required
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build rapport in both face-to-face and telehealth settings
* Proven ability to work independently and manage your own caseload, while being comfortable working within a small team environment
* Experience in the healthcare or mental health sector, with an understanding of the complexities and challenges of the field
* Experience working with psychosocial disability is highly valued but not essential
* Strong clinical skills with the capacity to work both independently and collaboratively
* Commitment to ongoing professional development and delivering high-quality psychological services
* Additional training in treatment approaches (e.g. Schema Therapy, EMDR, attachment-based approaches, psychodynamic models, neurobiologically informed approaches, etc.) is highly valued, alongside competence with CBT
What We Offer:
* Competitive remuneration: Attractive hourly rates commensurate with experience and qualifications
* Supportive environment: A collaborative, warm and responsive team where your contributions are valued and your professional growth is encouraged
* Professional development opportunities: Scope to diversify your skills through psychological assessments and expansion of your practice areas
* Independence with support: Enjoy the freedom of independent work while still having the backing of a growing practice
* Work–life balance: Structure a caseload and schedule that works for you
* Supervision: Supervision opportunities available with a Clinical Psychologist (PsyBA Supervisor)
* Smart systems and admin support: Practice management, online clinical assessment and telehealth software that make managing appointments and assessments easy. We take care of billing and insurance claiming for you
* Clinic-based work in Randwick: Be part of our new Randwick clinic from early 2026, with purpose-built rooms for face-to-face and telehealth work
