**The Opportunity**
Our Safety team works closely with our operations team to promote initiatives and implement safer ways of working to reduce the risk of our Delivery Professionals, with the aim of zero harm.
ANC is all about appointing highly motivated people to deliver value to its clients and the best possible outcomes for our customers. We are seeking an individual to appoint to the critical role of **Safety Officer** in our Safety Team.
This role will report to the National Manager Safety and Driver Performance, and work closely with other senior operational leaders including Business Managers, Operations Managers and Delivery Experience Leads, to ensure high standards in reporting and investigations of incidents. The overall objective is to ensure that we identify and assess relevant risks, and that we have efficient and effective risk mitigation controls in place to support the operational environment.
What you will do:
- Lead the incident management system, with the objective that incidents are reported timely and that they are investigated appropriately.
- Provide quality advice regarding preventive and corrective actions relating to incidents and controls for identified risks, ensuring appropriate analysis and implementation of actions to mitigate the risk of incidents reoccurrence.
- Make sure lessons learned are well shared within the organisation preventively to avoid incidents.
- Maximise opportunities to promote and deploy safety initiatives through new and existing communication channels, including providing safety updates and reporting.
- Identify safety incident related training and information requirements across ANC and assist in the development and delivery of these.
- Work closely with the Safety Business Partner on the development of ANC's Risk Management Framework.
- Support the development, implementation and maintenance of Risk and Safety projects as directed by the National Manager, Safety and Performance.
Required Experience & Qualifications
- Certificate IV- TAE or TAA in WHS (desirable)
- ICAM qualification or similar
- A passion for improving the ways that safety can protect our people and add value to our business
- Strong analytical skills
