Recruitment may include reasonable adjustments to support applicants at all stages and the employee lifecycle.About The RoleAs the Head of Special Education Services, responsibilities include:Manage and coordinate high-quality advice and support from the Special Education and Early Childhood Development Programs.Lead and manage these programs, providing advice to classroom teachers for students with disabilities as needed.Offer high-quality advice to school leadership and staff to plan and implement reasonable adjustments for students with disabilities.Coordinate and provide targeted teaching for students needing intervention.Provide and coordinate case management for students requiring significant adjustments.Support staff in accessing specialist services and professional development.Engage in school decision-making and professional development to contribute to school goals and vision.Implement and manage school-wide systems to monitor and record data on students with disabilities.Form partnerships with parents, government agencies, and community groups to support students with disabilities.Manage human, financial, facilities, and curriculum resources to achieve goals.Please refer to the attached role description for mandatory requirements.How To ApplyAttach a brief resume (2-page maximum) including contact details for 2 referees who understand your relevant work history.Attach a written response (1-page maximum) in response to the attached role description.Complete online questionnaire by selecting Apply and entering your personal details.Applicants need to be a current Queensland Government employee to be eligible to apply.
