Kingfisher International: Purchasing & Inventory Officer – High Tech Manufacturing

The Role:
As our Purchasing & Inventory Officer, you'll manage the full flow of materials that keep our production team moving. This includes purchasing and planning, shipping and receiving, inventory control, ERP transactions, supplier management, and accounting support. You'll work closely with engineers, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure materials are sourced, tracked, and delivered on time.
Key Responsibilities:
* Purchasing: Source quotes, negotiate pricing, build supplier relationships, track orders, and resolve delivery or quality issues with local and overseas vendors.
* Shipping: Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, ensure documentation accuracy, liaise with couriers, and assist with light stockroom duties.
* Planning: Forecast material needs, monitor stock levels and lead times, and determine optimal ordering quantities and timing.
* Inventory: Receive and inspect materials, match to purchase orders, ensure proper storage and labeling, and maintain accurate records through stocktakes.
* ERP IT Systems & Accounts: Enter and maintain transactions in company systems for purchasing, receiving, shipping, and inventory. Work with Accounts Payable to resolve invoice mismatches and discrepancies.
* Other tasks: Perform other duties as reasonably required.
Skills We're Looking For:
* Strong communication skills in English.
* Excellent attention to detail.
* Strong computer and data entry skills; ERP experience (Microsoft Great Plains) an advantage.
* Ability to perform light stockroom duties (<20kg).
* Interest in technology and eagerness to learn.
