As a Manager Projects at Wilmar Sugar & Renewables, you will be responsible for managing the capital program and project management processes for the relevant strategy area. Your role is critical in ensuring that factory assets and resources are capable of meeting defined business requirements. This position focuses on managing project resources and overseeing multiple projects that may be geographically dispersed or span across different plant types simultaneously.
Responsibilities
* Capital Project Management: Implementing an effective capital program for the strategy area. Working closely with the Manager Projects Program on program development and progress.
* Program Planning & Execution: Delivering the strategic program of works, covering documentation, external contracts, budgeting, and resource coordination.
* Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Site Engineering and Operations Managers, Design and Reliability Managers, to define project scope and track progress.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with key stakeholders to deliver the program to agreed milestone dates including performance standards and measures, team capability, problem analysis and resolution.
* Feasibility & Design: Conduct due diligence and feasibility studies, and design equipment and plant installations aligned with project goals.
* Compliance & Standards: Ensure adherence to business practices, codes of conduct, statutory regulations, and capital process standards.
* Technical Leadership: Develop technical specifications and commercial contracts; provide guidance on capital processes and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Process Improvement & Support: Identify and implement process improvements; support documentation standards and assist implementation teams in achieving project outcomes.
Qualifications
* A tertiary qualification in an engineering discipline, with a minimum of five years' project management experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
* Proficiency in project management software.
* Additional qualifications such as postgraduate or industry certifications in project or business management, RPEQ registration, and experience in the sugar industry will be highly regarded.
