What you'll be doing
As a Perioperative Nurse (Casual), you?ll play an essential role in delivering exceptional patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures. You will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients.
* Provide high-quality, safe, and person-centred perioperative nursing care
* Collaborate effectively with surgeons, anaesthetists, and allied health staff
* Support, mentor and supervise students and junior staff within the clinical setting
* Respond to changing patient needs and delegate appropriately within scope of practice
* Advocate for patients and their families while ensuring effective use of resources

Essential Criteria:
* Registration: Current Nursing Registration (RN) with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA)
Selection Criteria:
* Current nursing registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA)
* Current perioperative experience in Anaesthetics and/or Recovery speciality areas
* Demonstrated ability to organise and prioritise work
* Demonstrated evidence of being able to provide person centred care
* Demonstrated effective communication skills- written and verbal
* Effective interpersonal skills showing initiative and leadership to junior members of the team
* Evidence of participation in own professional development and commitment to maintaining competence and enhancement of skills, and willingness to apply and share professional expertise with colleagues
