About the role
DRA Operations are currently seeking experienced CHPP Operator Maintainers (Electrical & Mechanical) to join our Shift Relief team on site in Central Queensland. These positions are offered on Casual Contracts, providing work to cover planned and ad hoc leave. Flights to site from Cairns, Townsville, or Rockhampton are provided, along with camp accommodation.
We encourage applicants from all regional Queensland communities. As part of our onsite team, no two days are the same. Your duties will include but are not limited to:
1. Operate and monitor the preparation plant to optimise production and quality as directed by the CHPP Production Supervisor.
2. Operate stockpile dozers to manage the coal stockpile, reclaim operations, and train loading.
3. Perform train loading operations in line with schedules and blend parameters.
4. Perform first response breakdown maintenance tasks as required.
5. Conduct planned maintenance activities and inspections.
6. Housekeeping and general maintenance of all areas of the CHPP, Train Loadout, and Yard.
About you
Our ideal candidate is a positive, safety-conscious team player with a strong work ethic, possessing:
* Mechanical or Electrical Trade Qualification.
* Previous experience as an Operator Maintainer on a coal processing plant.
* Stockpile Dozer experience (highly regarded).
* Current Coal Board Medical.
* Current Standard 11.
* Valid Australian Driver's License.
* Valid Right to Work in Australia.
* SARC Certification (Safety Access Rail Corridor) - highly regarded.
* Current LVR/CPR certification (if applicable).
* Demonstrated safety focus and ability to work safely within a dynamic team.
