About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen as a Conference and Events Sales Manager for two luxe hotels within the Independent Collection in Sydney.
Reporting to the Cluster Director of Sales, your responsibilities will include:
* Develop and implement proactive sales strategies based on intelligent foresight, market segment analysis, business acumen and competitive analysis of market trends alongside the Director of Sales and National Sales team.
Leverage national promotions and seasonal marketing campaigns, as well as local initiatives and partnerships, to actively engage with prospects and clients and drive incremental revenue for Conference & Events. Use iVvy CRM system to track all new business leads, event enquiries, bookings and client details, and produce relevant activity reports for the Sales team. Ensure post event follow-up is completed by phone in the first instance after all events and OPERA account is correctly charged off by the teams, and closed. Be actively involved in management of key accounts and use heightened stakeholder relationship skills to build and maintain client satisfaction, loyalty and repeat business within a broad market mix. Conduct site inspections, offsite sales calls and product updates to prospective clients and potential business partners to generate business. Take ownership of budget targets and develop strategies to achieve set targets, in collaboration your team and the Director of Sales. Develop methods and initiatives to increase departmental revenue with the sales team.

Skills & Experience
* Proven experience in event sales is essential
Proficiency in managing multiple events with a keen eye for detail, while meeting deadlines An understanding of hotel, conference, and event operations is an advantage. Industrious and innovative approach to client solutions in line with internal processes and parameters Experience across different market segments Accomplished at building rapport and qualifying client requirements Strong verbal, written and face to face communication skills Self-motivated with effective time management and organisational skills Microsoft Office suite proficiency, iVvy CRM experience an advantage.
