As part of our continued growth and our declared Year of Service, we are seeking an experienced National Service Manager to lead and strengthen our national service division.
This is a leadership role suited to someone who thrives in a fast-moving operational environment, genuinely enjoys leading people, and understands the importance of delivering high quality technical support to industrial customers.
The Role
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will lead our growing national team of currently 8 service technicians located across Australia.
You will be responsible for the day-to-day management and performance of the service department, ensuring our customers receive responsive, professional and well-planned support across breakdowns, commissioning, preventative maintenance and service contracts.
* Managing and coordinating technician schedules nationally
* Overseeing routine service work, breakdown response and emergency callouts
* Managing overtime, technician utilisation and workflow planning
* Ensuring service contracts are delivered professionally and on time
* Assisting with preparation of equipment parts kits to ensure readiness for scheduled service events.
* Supporting customers and technicians through technical problem solving
* Working closely with the sales and projects teams to ensure smooth customer handovers
* Driving service standards, communication and follow up across the department
* Monitoring service reporting, job completion and invoicing processes
* Building structure, accountability and continuous improvement within the service team
* Supporting technician development, training and performance management
About You
You may already be working as a Service Manager, Operations Manager or Senior Service Co-Ordinator within food processing, industrial equipment, manufacturing or a related technical industry.
Most importantly, you are:
* Highly organised and operationally minded
* Calm under pressure and able to prioritise quickly
* A strong communicator with both customers and technicians
* Technically capable and confident managing field service teams
* Solutions focused and hands‐on in your leadership style
* Passionate about customer service and team culture
* Comfortable managing multiple moving parts at once
Experience within food processing equipment or industrial machinery will be highly regarded, however strong leadership and service management experience is equally important.
