As part of the Nova Pacific Group, operators of the iconic Iririki Island Resort in Vanuatu, we are seeking an accomplished and motivated General Manager to lead one of our NEW flagship property in Cairns. As we enter an exciting phase of growth and transformation, this role will play a pivotal part in shaping the future direction of our expanding hospitality portfolio and create new opportunities for our key leaders.
Your Impact
As the General Manager, you will oversee all facets of hotel operations, drive strategic initiatives, and uphold the highest standards of service, efficiency, and guest satisfaction. You will be instrumental in our transformation journey leading renovation projects, elevating operational performance, and inspiring a high-performing team.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee daily hotel operations to ensure outstanding guest experiences and operational excellence
* Lead renovation and upgrade projects, ensuring delivery within budget and timelines
* Maintain and enhance safety, compliance, and maintenance standards across the property
* Implement strategic initiatives to drive profitability, service quality, and brand consistency
* Mentor and develop cross-functional teams, fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture
* Manage vendor relationships and oversee operational contracts
What You Bring
* Demonstrated experience as a senior leader within the hotel or broader hospitality industry
* Strong background in property renovations, upgrades, and maintenance management
* Proven operational expertise with a commitment to exceptional customer service
* Outstanding leadership, communication, and organisational capabilities
* Experience managing budgets, negotiating contracts, and overseeing large-scale projects
* Proficiency in RMS is highly regarded

* Competitive salary package: $150,000 total package, including a $130,000 base salary plus $20,000 in KPI-based incentives
